Privacy

No tracking. No ads. No analytics.

Our Apps are built to function without ad networks, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics platforms.

Overview & Scope

CampSoftware develops software Standalone App and also provides Custom Development. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information across both categories.

If a specific project or hosted service has a separate agreement (for example, a contract or statement of work), that agreement may provide additional details and may govern in the event of a conflict.

Standalone Apps

This section applies to standalone applications developed by CampSoftware that are designed to run “local-first.” In general, data stays on your device and is not sent to CampSoftware.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, diagnostics, or analytics from our Apps.

Our Apps are designed to be “local-first,” meaning all data, settings, and logs created within the App remain exclusively on your device (or within infrastructure you control if you choose to save them there).

What this means in practice

  • No accounts: We don’t require you to create an account with us to use our Apps.
  • No telemetry: We don’t send app events, performance metrics, or crash analytics to CampSoftware.
  • No remote database: We don’t operate a backend that receives or stores your App data.

No Third-Party Tracking

We do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics SDKs within our Apps. We do not sell or share data with third parties because we do not have access to your App data in the first place.

User-Configured Services

If an App requires a connection to a service you provide, that connection is made directly from your device to that service. We never act as an intermediary for your data.

Examples

  • SMTP credentials: Stored locally in your config.json and used only to send alerts from your machine.
  • Monitoring logs: Saved directly to your system’s standard log directory (for example, ~/Library/Logs/ on macOS).

Your responsibility for connected services

If you connect an App to a third-party service (or a service operated by your organization), that service’s own privacy and security practices will apply. We recommend reviewing the provider’s policies and using strong credentials and secure configurations.

Data Security

Because we do not receive or store your App data, there is no CampSoftware-hosted database of your App information to secure. Security still matters on your device and within your environment.

Data remains on your machine unless you choose to export, sync, or connect to a service you control.

Any integrations you configure (like SMTP) are initiated by your device directly to your configured endpoint.

You can further protect your information by enabling device encryption, keeping your operating system up to date, and limiting access to configuration files and log folders.

Data Retention & Deletion

CampSoftware does not retain your App data because we do not collect it. Any files created by an App (such as configuration or logs) are stored locally under your control.

To delete App data, remove the relevant local files and/or uninstall the App from your device.

Custom Development

This section applies when CampSoftware provides custom development services and/or operates a hosted web application for you. In these cases, CampSoftware may need to process and store data to deliver, maintain, and support the service.

Data Collection

Depending on the project, we may process and store information such as customer-provided content in the hosted application, configuration data, and operational logs required for reliability, security, and support.

We only use this information to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and support the hosted service or project deliverables.

What we collect

  • Application data: Content and information you enter into the hosted application.
  • Configuration data: Settings and preferences needed to operate the service.
  • Operational logs: System logs required for reliability, security, and troubleshooting.

No Third-Party Tracking

Unless explicitly agreed upon in your service agreement, we do not use third-party tracking, advertising, or analytics services in custom development projects.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Any third-party integrations are only included at your request and documented in the project scope or agreement.

User-Configured Services

Custom development projects may integrate with services you specify (such as email servers, payment processors, or APIs). These integrations are configured according to your requirements and documented in the project agreement.

Examples

  • Email services: Configured to send notifications or alerts as specified in your project requirements.
  • Third-party APIs: Integrated only as requested and documented in your service agreement.

Your responsibility for connected services

When we integrate third-party services at your request, those services' own privacy and security practices will apply. We recommend reviewing the provider's policies and ensuring proper security measures are in place.

Data Security

For hosted web applications, CampSoftware implements appropriate security measures to protect your data, including:

Secure hosting infrastructure with regular security updates and monitoring.

Access controls limiting who can view or modify your data.

Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data transmission.

Regular backups to prevent data loss.

Additional security measures may be implemented based on your specific requirements and documented in your service agreement.

Data Retention & Deletion

For hosted web applications and certain custom development engagements, CampSoftware may retain customer data on hosted systems and in backups for a period of time. Backups are maintained for disaster recovery, service reliability, and restoration in the event of accidental deletion or system failure.

Backup copies are typically rotated and expire automatically according to our backup schedule and/or the terms of your service agreement. As a result, data you delete from a hosted system may remain in backup storage until those backups are cycled out.

To request deletion of your data from a hosted application, please contact us. We will work with you to remove your data according to the terms of your service agreement and applicable legal requirements.

This section applies to our website. We keep website data collection limited and focused on operating and protecting the site.
